Engr. Muhammad Siddique Ch.
Chief Inspector of Mines/ Mines Labour Welfare Commissioner
Engr. Muhammad Siddique Ch. is serving as Head of Attached Department. He has got his degree in Mining Engineering from UET, Lahore in 1986. He worked as Lecturer and Training Coordinator in the same University from February, 1987 to April, 1989. He joined this department in July, 1989 as Assistant Director (Training), Punjab School of Mines, Katas and served as Principal, Mines Survey Institute, Makerwal from May, 1992 to July, 1997. He was promoted as Deputy Director (Training), Punjab School of Mines, Katas in August, 1997. He served as Training Officer (Headquarters), Lahore from September, 2004 to October, 2007 and again transferred as Deputy Director, Punjab School of Mines, Katas.
He was promoted as Director (BS-19), Punjab School of Mines, Katas in February, 2012 and deputed as OSD in March, 2013 for Technical Pre-Feasibility Reports and Appraisals tn the Mines & Minerals Department. He was posted Deputy Chief Inspector of Mines in January, 2014. He is serving on the current position since November, 2014. He has vast experience in the field of teaching and training in the mine specific environment. He has visited the West Germany for Mechanized Mining and Project Management Training. He has also got the trainings in Total Quality Management, Organizational Behavior & Conflict Management from NIPA Lahore, attended Project Director’s Course at PPIM Islamabad and Senior Engineers Training Course at GEAP Lahore.
Mr. Riaz Ahmed Ch.
Director Mines Labour Welfare
He is serving as Director Mines Labour Welfare in Chief Inspectorate of Mines, Punjab. He has got master’s degree in Statistics from Bahauddin Zakariya University, Multan and joined the department as Statistical Officer in 1988. He was promoted as Deputy Director (Budget & Statistics) in 1998. He also remained working as Under Secretary, Labour & Manpower Department during the year, 1999. In 2006, he was promoted as Director.
He has vast experience in the field of administration, planning, budgeting, accounts, preparation & execution of development schemes, monitoring and evaluation. He has represented in various conferences, workshops and trainings organized by different departments in collaboration with World Bank, ILO etc.
Engr. Muhammad Dilshad Baloch
Director Mining Development Cell
He is working as Director Mining Development Cell since April, 2014. He joined the department after getting degree in Mining Engineering from University of Engineering & Technology, Lahore in 1987 as Assistant Director (Training) at Punjab School of Mines, Katas and was also deputed as Assistant Mine Manager at Training Mine, Katas. He has been working as Junior Inspector of Mines (Khushab), Inspector of Mines (Rawalpindi Region) and Rescue Superintendent.
He has vast experience in the fields of mine safety, inspections & prosecutions, rescue & recovery, teaching, rescue training, preparation of curricula and preparation & execution of development schemes.
Engr. Hafiz Hamid Iqbal
Deputy Chief Inspector of Mines
He is working as Deputy Chief Inspector of Mines since June 1, 2015. He joined the department after getting degree in Mining Engineering from University of Engineering & Technology, Lahore in 1990 as Assistant Director Training in the Mining Development Cell, Lahore. He has also qualified his M.Sc. Mining Engineering from UET, Lahore during service. He has been working as Junior Inspector of Mines (Headquarters), Inspector of Mines (Headquarters), Rescue Superintendent and Training Officer.
He has vast experience in the fields of preparation of curricula, in-service training to mine workers, rescue & recovery, rescue training and preparation & execution of development schemes.
