Training Mine for Mine Supervisors & Mining Technicians, Choa Saiden Shah, District Chakwal is headed by a Mine Manager; and assisted by an Assistant Mine Manager and a Workshop Engineer. The project was completed at a total cost of Rs. 34.263 million on June 30, 1993. The main purpose of the establishment of Training Mine is to provide practical training to the prospective supervisors in actual working conditions to facilitate the transfer of technology of the mineral sector through rationally trained manpower.

The main objectives of Training Mine are as follows:

  • Availability of skilled and trained Mining Supervisors and Mining Technicians
  • Better and safe-working methods of ensuring enhanced safety and indirectly increased production
  • Conservation of Miners wealth which is otherwise wasted due to unsafe and outmoded methods
  • Reduction in the number of accidents
  • Reposing confidence of safety amongst the miners and making them safety conscious
  • Awareness about mine hazards
  • Facilities for experiments on mining hazards
