Facilitation to Mining Labour

With a view to ensure the protection of labour rights at grass-root-level, the department has its Mines Labour welfare officers at mining districts who are responsible to monitor the implementation of labour laws concerned to miners, regulate the payment of wages and bonuses, working hours etc. through inspection of mines and quarries. Their another key role is the preparation and submission of different welfare schemes including water supply, housing, provision of health and education facilities in consultation with representatives of mine workers and mine owners.

The Organization has established following offices to facilitate the mining labour:
