Annual Return Form for Coal Mines

Under Regulation 3(2) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 1926, the owner, agent or manager of every coal mine is liable to submit annual returns in the prescribed forms on or before the twenty-first (21st) day of January in the year following that to which they refer (or within one month from the date of abandonment or change of ownership or within four months from the date of discontinuance of a mine) to the Chief Inspector of Mines. Under Regulation 3 of the Metalliferous Mines Regulations, 1926, the owner, agent or manager of every mine (other than coal mine) is liable to submit annual returns in the prescribed forms on or before the twenty-first (21st) day of January in the year following that to which they refer (or within one month from the date of abandonment or change of ownership or within four months from the date of discontinuance of a mine) to the Chief Inspector of Mines. February Return Form for Coal Mines

Under Regulation 3(4) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 1926, the owner, agent or manager of every coal mine is liable to forward a return in Form II-A, duly filled in, to the Chief Inspector of Mines on or before the first (1st) day of March in each year. The figures given in the return shall relate to that day on which the number of persons attending work was highest during such week in February of that year as is selected in advance by the Chief Inspector. Monthly Return Form for Coal Mines

Under Regulation 3(1) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 1926, the owner, agent or manager of every coal mine is required to send a correct return in form 1 of all raisings and dispatches during the preceding calendar month, on or before the tenth (10th) day of every month, to the Chief Inspector of Mines. Notice for Occurrence of Accident (Coal Mines)

Under Regulation 13 of the Coal Mines Regulations, 1926, when an accident occurs in or about a mine causing loss of life or serious bodily injury, the owner, agent or manager of the mine shall forthwith inform the Inspector by telephone or telegraph and shall also sent a notice thereof in Form IX to the Inspector or Chief Inspector of Mines within twenty four hours of any occurrence of accident. Under Regulation 13 of the Metalliferous Mines Regulations, 1926, when an accident occurs in or about a mine causing loss of life or serious bodily injury, the owner, agent or manager of the mine shall forthwith inform the Inspector by telephone or telegraph and shall also sent a notice thereof in Form IX to the Inspector or Chief Inspector of Mines within 24 hours of any occurrence of accident. Nomination for Training

Under the Punjab Mining Staff and Workers Training Regulations, 1999, no person shall be employed in quarries, surface mining, underground mines or underground gassy coal mines unless he has received training in their respective trades for at least six days in accordance with the concerned schedule. Therefore, the owner, agent or manager of every mine shall nominate his employees to receive training in accordance with training programs notified by the Chief Inspector of Mines. View Details
