This is a harsh fact that the mining sector in Pakistan is still in the infancy stage and a lot of input is required for upgrading the capacity, from the level of workers to the managers. To cover this deficiency, pre-service and in-service training courses at different levels are also one of the hall mark of this Inspectorate.
DAE and Two Year Certification
In addition to the role of law enforcing authority, Inspectorate of Mines also took the initiative for teaching, training and guidance by establishing the Punjab School of Mines, Mine Survey Institute and a Training Mine having purely job oriented environment which is producing diploma holders in the field of mining with the perspective that education improves the quality and standard of work.
Short Courses (Six Months)
The department needs to liberate its regulatory procedures and policies to attract local as well as foreign investment in order to generate employment and economic activity.
